Jaipur to Receive ₹450 Crore Infrastructure Boost with Elevated Road, Sewerage, and Road Projects.

Jaipur, known as the Pink City, is set for a significant infrastructural upgrade as Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma prepares to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for development projects worth over ₹450 crore on September 29.

The ambitious initiative includes the launch of a key elevated road connecting Gopalpura Bypass to Gurjar ki Thadi, along with extensive sewerage improvements, road construction, and repair works across multiple city zones.

According to the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA), projects valued at around ₹320 crore will be launched during the event, while completed works worth approximately ₹130 crore will be formally inaugurated.

The centerpiece is the elevated corridor stretching from Triveni Nagar Road Over Bridge (ROB) to Gurjar ki Thadi. This corridor links densely populated residential areas including Mansarovar, Vaishali Nagar, Chitrakoot, and Shyam Nagar to major arterial roads such as Tonk Road and Jawaharlal Nehru Marg. The route currently faces heavy congestion at key junctions like Triveni Circle, Riddhi-Siddhi, 10-B, and Somani Hospital. With numerous coaching institutes lining the road, traffic pressure remains intense throughout the day. The new elevated road is expected to significantly ease congestion and improve daily commutes.

In addition to road infrastructure, the Chief Minister will inaugurate major sewerage projects in Prithviraj Nagar (South) and Sanganer Zones 2 and 3, forming part of the Swarn Vihar Sewage Treatment Plant network. A new trunk sewer line will also be laid in Bambala area of Sanganer to address long-standing drainage issues.

Under the broader road development plan, strengthening and resurfacing works will be undertaken on the stretch from Vandemataram Road to Journalist Road Junction, enhancing connectivity and road safety.

These projects mark a major step forward in Jaipur’s urban infrastructure development, promising improved traffic flow, better sanitation, and overall enhanced quality of life for its residents.
