Jammu to get 300-MW power project

Jammu: A 300 MW hydel power project is coming up at Panjtirthi on the river Ujh in Kathua district of Jammu region shortly.

J&K Power Minister Babu Singh said the power-starved state had taken many steps for bringing reforms in this sector. Out of the Rs 24,000-crore special package announced for J&K, Rs 17,000 crore is being spent on the power sector.
