Japanese IT firm plans $50-mn investment in Karachi

Karachi: DTS Inc., a Japanese IT company, plans to invest $50 million in the next five years by setting up a call centre, data centre and Japanese language centre in Karachi.

DTS Director Irfan Siddiqui in a statement said that the investment would generate over 1,500 jobs and the company would proceed towards manufacturing of computer hardware and IT-related products as well.

Provincial Minister for Commerce and Industries Rauf Siddiqui and Japanese Consul General Akinori Wada would attend the foundation stone laying ceremony of the company, he said.
