The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to expedite so the water supply project in south, central and eastern zones of Guwahati so that the project can be completed by 2015.
The physical work of the JICA-assisted Guwahati Water Supply Project, which costs Rs 1,427 crore, began in the latter half of 2011.
