JK Cement Ltd Signs Mahan Coal Mine Lease Agreement.

JK Cement Ltd has executed a mining lease for the Mahan Coal Mine, an underground coal mining project located in Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh, the company said in a regulatory filing.

The lease agreement has been signed with the Government of Madhya Pradesh for a total area of 981.75 hectares, marking a significant development in the company’s access to captive coal resources.

According to the company, the Mahan Coal Mine project is an underground mining operation and is expected to support its long-term raw material requirements. The execution of the lease formalises JK Cement’s rights to develop and operate the coal block under applicable regulatory provisions.

The development comes as part of the company’s broader efforts to secure stable energy inputs for its manufacturing operations in the cement sector.
