JSW Neo Energy Secures 200 MW Hybrid Power Project in Maharashtra.
JSW Neo Energy Limited, a subsidiary of JSW Energy Limited, has secured a 200 MW Wind-Solar Hybrid Power Project from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL). This addition raises JSW Energy’s total locked-in generation capacity to 17.2 GW, including 2.9 GW of hybrid capacity. The company aims to expand its installed generation capacity from the current 7.5 GW to 10 GW by FY25.
Following the announcement, JSW Energy Limited’s shares were trading at ₹725.10 on the BSE, up by ₹9.70 or 1.36 percent.
JSW Energy’s portfolio now includes 7.5 GW of operational capacity, 2.3 GW under construction, and a 7.3 GW renewable energy pipeline. The company also has 4.2 GWh of locked-in energy storage capacity. This latest project brings JSW Energy closer to its goal of reaching 20 GW generation capacity and 40 GWh energy storage capacity by 2030.
Part of the $24 billion JSW Group, JSW Energy is committed to achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. The company operates across various power sector value chains, including generation and transmission.
