"Jupiter International wins Maharashtra solar pump deal, bolstering its sectoral footprint."
Solar power solutions provider Jupiter International has received a Letter of Empanelment (LoE) worth ₹64.95 crore from the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (MSEDCL) for the manufacture, supply, installation, testing and maintenance of off-grid solar photovoltaic water pumping systems.
The project is part of the Maharashtra government’s Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana (MTSKPY) and strengthens Kolkata-based Jupiter International’s presence in the solar pump segment as well as its position as an integrated renewable energy solutions provider, the company said in a statement recently.
Commenting on the development, Akash Garodia, promoter and whole-time director of the company, said the LoE marks an important milestone in delivering sustainable solutions at the grassroots level. He added that the project will help bring solar-powered irrigation to underserved farming communities, replace diesel-based systems with clean energy, improve water access, enhance farmer incomes and support India’s broader objective of agricultural decarbonisation.
