Kent to invest Rs. 100 crore to build new facility in Noida.
KENT RO Systems is investing Rs. 100 crore to build a 1 million-unit capacity plant in the National Capital Region, according to its chairman, Mahesh Gupta.
'Our main focus is to increase the penetration level, which is only 4 per cent in the country in water purifier,' Gupta said, adding that the company has bought a 2,300 sq ft plot in Noida for the plant.
KENT RO Systems has 35 pee cent market share in the domestic RO purifier business. The company, which spends 12 per cent of its turnover in marketing and brand awareness, had a turnover of Rs. 680 crores last fiscal, Gupta said.
'It is because of the government that we are in this business. The day the government is capable of supplying clean water to the country, we will be out of the business,' he said.
KENT RO supplies its products through a network of 1,000 dealers and 1,000 retailers. It is working on new digital communication technique to be launched in another six months of time, Gupta said.
