"Kerala Introduces Investment Subsidy for Logistics Parks, Unveils Draft Policy"

P Rajeeve, Kerala's Industry Minister, has introduced the draft logistics policy, which includes a provision for an investment subsidy of up to ₹7 crore for logistics parks within the state. Under the proposal, a 10-acre logistics park will be eligible for a subsidy of ₹7 crore, while a five-acre mini-park will receive ₹3 crore.

In addition to the investment subsidy, the draft policy suggests declaring logistics parks as industrial zones and establishing a single window system for the approval of these parks.

According to the report from the Directorate of Industries and Commerce, industrial land can be allocated for logistics purposes. Minister Rajeeve emphasized the significance of utilizing this opportunity, noting that products worth ₹1.5 lakh to ₹1.5 lakh crore are transported into Kerala from other Indian states.

The introduction of the draft logistics policy underscores Kerala's commitment to fostering a conducive environment for logistics infrastructure development and enhancing its industrial landscape.
