"Kerala Launches ₹54,908 Crore Projects a Year After Invest Summit, Says Minister Rajeev".
A year after hosting the Invest Kerala Global Summit (IKGS) to promote the state as an investor-friendly destination, Kerala has moved forward with projects worth ₹54,908.22 crore, State Industries Minister P. Rajeeve said recently.
The Minister told reporters that this figure represents more than 40% of the Expressions of Interest (EoIs) received during the summit, facilitated by the availability of easily accessible land for industrial development.
The IKGS had attracted EoIs totaling ₹1,81,209 crore from 449 investors. Of these, 115 projects have either commenced construction or started operations, generating around 66,073 employment opportunities so far.
Minister Rajeeve highlighted that the state government had focused on 22 priority sectors during the summit, including tourism, food processing, information technology, pharmaceuticals, and healthcare, as part of its strategy to boost industrial growth and job creation.
