KIMS Hospitals Acquires 200-Bed Multi-Specialty Hospital in Vizag.
Queen's NRI Hospital (QNRI), a well-established 200-bed facility located prominently in Vizag, has been acquired by KIMS Hospitals. Founded in 1995, QNRI boasts a spacious built-up area of approximately 150,000 square feet and is strategically positioned in a densely populated area with promising growth potential. The nearest hospital is located about 5.5 kilometers away, while the health hub of New Vizag is approximately 17 kilometers from QNRI's location.
KIMS Hospitals, already operating a multi-specialty hospital and gastro unit in Vizag, views this acquisition as a strategic move to strengthen its market presence. The hospital's prime location adds to its appeal, enhancing KIMS' ability to cater effectively to the healthcare needs of the community.
The acquisition was finalized through a Share Purchase Agreement with the former promoters and shareholders of Chalasani Hospitals Private Limited, the owners of QNRI, securing KIMS Hospitals' ownership of 100% of the company.
Dr. B. Bhaskara Rao, CMD of KIMS Hospitals, commented, "This marks our second hospital in Vishakapatnam (KIMS-ICON Hospitals was acquired in 2018), underscoring the immense opportunities we envision in this city. We remain committed to exploring further growth through strategic acquisitions to consolidate our leadership position in Andhra Pradesh. With the addition of Queen's NRI Hospital, our bed capacity in Vizag now exceeds 630, allowing us to deliver world-class healthcare services to a larger population."
