Kinetic Watts & Volts Secures Maharashtra EV Policy Approval, Set to Receive ₹42 Crore in Incentives.

Kinetic Watts & Volts Ltd, the electric vehicle arm of the Kinetic Group, has secured approval under the Government of Maharashtra’s Electric Vehicle Policy, making it eligible for incentives of about ₹42 crore. The incentives will be disbursed in phases over a period of 10 years.

The company said the support will help advance localisation efforts, robotics-led manufacturing and battery assembly operations within Maharashtra. The incentives are also expected to bolster its electric two-wheeler scale-up plans, expand its dealer network and strengthen supply-chain resilience.

The Maharashtra EV Policy offers a comprehensive incentive framework aimed at positioning the state as a leading electric vehicle manufacturing hub. The policy includes capital-linked incentives, buyer subsidies, tax and fee exemptions, and measures to promote component manufacturing across the EV value chain.
