Krishna Water Project-III Getting Ready.

With Phase-III of Krishna Drinking Water Supply scheme for tapping of 90 Million Gallons of water per Day (MGD) to Hyderabad city is getting ready, Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB) MD M Jagadeeshwar inspected the newly constrcuted water reservoirs at Maisaram, Riyasathnagar, Allabanda and Barkas recently.

After inspecting the water reservoirs, Jagadeeshwar asked the director (Operations) Rameshwar Rao to complete the pending reservoir works if any so that Krishna water can be pumped into these reservoirs. From reservoirs water can be distributed through distribution lines to consumers in different parts of the city. It may be mentioned that works on Krishna Phase-III costing Rs. 1,670 crore has been completed and trial runs are going to bring water from Akkampally reservoir to Saheb Nagar in the city.
