KSDL Hits Record 4,895-Tonne Output; Eyes ₹5,000 Crore Revenue by 2030.

Karnataka Soaps and Detergents Limited (KSDL), the state-owned manufacturer of the iconic Mysore Sandal soap, achieved its highest-ever monthly production in January 2026, producing 4,894.777 metric tonnes of goods, Minister for Large and Medium Industries M.B. Patil said recently.

The public sector undertaking recorded output of 3,798 metric tonnes in the soap segment, 941 metric tonnes in detergents, and 155 metric tonnes in cosmetics. Mr. Patil said the company has set an ambitious target of achieving a turnover of ₹5,000 crore by 2030.

Highlighting KSDL’s steady growth trajectory, the minister noted that the company has consistently surpassed earlier benchmarks in recent years. Its previous production milestones include 3,113 metric tonnes in September 2020, 2,744 metric tonnes in November 2021, 3,650 metric tonnes in September 2022, 4,144 metric tonnes in November 2023, 4,486 metric tonnes in March 2025, and 4,735 metric tonnes in December 2025.

The latest figures underscore KSDL’s expanding manufacturing capacity and strengthening market presence across its product segments.
