KSEB to be converted into Company
Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala Government has decided to convert the Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) into a company.
The decision comes in the wake of the expiry of the deadline on September 24 set by the Centre for the State Government in this regard.
The Chief Minister, Mr Achuthanandan, said that the company would be retained in the public sector itself and under no circumstances would it be allowed to be privatised.
The Government would come out with the necessary legal framework to prevent the sale of the company’s share in the future.
He said that the interests of the employees and the pensioners would be protected while converting the board into a company.
