Lemon Tree Hotels, one of India’s fastest-growing mid-scale and premium hotel chains, has announced the signing of a new hotel in Akola, Maharashtra, further strengthening its footprint in the state. With this addition, the company now has 28 hotels in Maharashtra, including 15 operational properties and 13 in the pipeline.
The new property will be managed by Carnation Hotels Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lemon Tree Hotels. Branded under Keys Prima by Lemon Tree Hotels, the Akola hotel will feature 55 rooms, a restaurant, banquet hall, conference facilities, and recreational amenities such as a fitness centre, swimming pool, and spa. The hotel is located around 265 km from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport and 4.4 km from Akola Junction railway station, ensuring easy access for corporate and regional travellers.
Akola, situated in the Vidarbha region, is a key commercial and agricultural centre known for its cotton production and trading ecosystem. The city’s ongoing infrastructure development and expanding business activity make it a strategic location for regional hospitality growth.
Commenting on the signing, Mr. Vilas Pawar, CEO - Managed & Franchise Business, Lemon Tree Hotels, said, “Akola's growing commercial relevance within the Vidarbha region makes it a strategic addition to our Maharashtra portfolio. As business activity expands beyond the state's primary metros, we see strong opportunity in emerging regional centres that require quality branded hospitality.”
The new hotel reflects Lemon Tree Hotels’ continued focus on expanding across Maharashtra’s growth corridors, aligning its portfolio with evolving regional travel and business demand.
