Lemon Tree Hotels Limited, one of India’s leading hospitality chains, has announced the opening of Lemon Tree Hotel in Sri Ganganagar, marking its entry into the city and taking its total hotel count in Rajasthan to 13 operational properties.
The hotel is managed by Carnation Hotels Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lemon Tree Hotels Limited.
Located in the northernmost part of Rajasthan, Sri Ganganagar is known as the state’s “food basket” due to its strong agricultural output and extensive canal-irrigated farming. Its proximity to the international border, planned urban layout, and active commercial markets make it a key hub for business and trade-related travel.
The property also provides access to nearby cultural and religious sites, including Balaji Dham, Gauri Shankar Temple, the historic Budha Johad Gurudwara, and the Malkot border area. It is located around 8 km from Sri Ganganagar Junction railway station and approximately 122 km from Bathinda Airport.
The hotel features 68 rooms and suites designed with contemporary interiors and the brand’s signature “lemon-fresh” hospitality experience. Facilities include Citrus Café, an all-day multi-cuisine restaurant, Slounge—a terrace bar—and in-room dining services.
The property also offers banquet and meeting spaces across indoor venues and lawns, along with a spa, swimming pool, and fitness centre, catering to corporate events, social gatherings, and long-stay guests.
Speaking on the launch, Vishvapreet Singh Cheema, President, Lemon Tree Hotels Ltd., said Sri Ganganagar is a strong agricultural and commercial centre that attracts steady business travel. He said the new hotel introduces the brand’s hospitality offering to an underserved but high-potential market.
He added that the opening marks the company’s 13th operational hotel in Rajasthan, with 10 more properties in the pipeline, reflecting its focus on expanding in Tier-II and Tier-III cities.
The company said the new property is positioned to serve business, government, and leisure travellers amid rising demand for organised hospitality in the region.
