Lenexis Foodworks Embarks on Aggressive Expansion, Aiming for 100 Stores by March 2025.

Lenexis Foodworks, the parent company of Chinese Wok and Big Bowl Company, is set for rapid expansion, targeting the opening of 100 new stores across 20 cities by the end of FY25. The company anticipates generating a topline revenue of ₹650 crore by March 2025, with a projected sales run rate of ₹1,000 crore by FY26, reflecting strong growth potential in the quick-service restaurant (QSR) sector.

Currently operating nearly 200 outlets in over 20 cities, Lenexis Foodworks aims to establish itself as a major player in the ₹25,000 crore Chinese cuisine market. Founder Aayush Madhusudan Agrawal highlighted significant post-COVID growth, noting that Chinese Wok has achieved a 100% revenue increase at the system level and a 70% rise in same-store sales in the last six months.

The expansion will enhance the brand's presence in malls, high streets, and cloud kitchens, with plans to open 100 new stores in various cities. Lenexis Foodworks currently operates in 60 malls, 60 cloud kitchens, and 80 high streets.

Agrawal emphasized the focus on tier-2 and tier-3 cities for future growth, stating that 80-90% of Chinese Wok’s expansion will stem from these markets. To support this growth, the company plans to hire an additional 2,000 employees within the next six months, increasing its workforce from the current 3,000.

Founded in 2015, Lenexis Foodworks specializes in Indianized Chinese cuisine and has established a presence in major cities including Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Delhi, among others. Recently, the brand made its foray into eastern India with its first store opening in Kolkata, with further expansions planned for Patna, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Ranchi, Raipur, and Vizag.
