Lennox, the US-based HVACR (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration) solutions provider, has expanded its India Global Capability Center (GCC) in Chennai with a $6 million investment. The expansion increases the facility’s footprint to 150,000 sq ft, enabling the company to grow its workforce from 900 to 1,500 employees.
The Lennox India Technology Centre (LITC), established in 2010, initially focused on IT and engineering but has since expanded its capabilities to include mechanical and controls engineering, finance, marketing, communications, HR, and sourcing.
“Chennai remains a vital hub for our global operations. Over the past 15 years, Lennox has invested $14 million in India, reinforcing our commitment to innovation, job creation, and sustainable development,” said Prakash Bedapudi, Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, Lennox. He added that LITC is the company’s largest center outside the US, and they expect to reach full capacity of 1,500 employees within a year or two, depending on talent availability.
Lennox, which recorded $5.3 billion in global revenue in 2024, provides heating, cooling, refrigeration, and climate control solutions for both residential and commercial customers, focusing on energy efficiency and carbon footprint reduction.
