Lord Swraj Paul launches new facility for auto parts

New Delhi: Lord Swraj Paul’s Caparo Group formally inaugurated a new facility at Greater Noida that would be primarily dedicated to stamping and welding of auto parts for Honda and for JCB.

The company said it would have already invested Rs 40 crore in phase one and was investing another Rs 43 crore in the facility, which is already operational. With 10 per cent of output to be exported this year, the facility is expected to export 30 per cent of its output in two-years’ time.

“We are growing fast and very keen on continuously investing in India. We plan on doing at least a billion dollars of sales here in the next 7-10 years,” said Mr Angad Paul, CEO, Caparo Plc and Chairman, Caparo India. The group has 19 plants operating across its businesses interests in stampings, aluminium castings, fasteners, tubes and steel forgings and has planned a total of 28.
