"L’Oréal is set to establish a major Beauty Tech Hub in Hyderabad with a strategic investment of ₹3,500 crore."

French beauty and cosmetics major L’Oréal has announced an investment of ₹3,500 crore to set up a Beauty Tech Hub in Hyderabad, providing a major boost to Telangana’s investment outreach at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

The announcement was part of a series of investment commitments secured by the State, which also included Rashmi Group’s proposed ₹12,500-crore steel manufacturing unit and NUkler Products’ ₹6,000-crore clean energy project.

L’Oréal’s Beauty Tech Hub, scheduled to be inaugurated in November, will focus on leveraging data, artificial intelligence, Generative AI and Agentic AI to drive innovation across the company’s global operations. The centre is expected to employ around 2,000 highly skilled technology professionals.

The investment decision was announced following a meeting between the Telangana government delegation led by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and L’Oréal Chief Executive Officer Nicolas Hieronimus recently.
