“LT Foods Plans New Karnataka Facility to Produce Regional Rice Varieties”

LT Foods Ltd has announced plans to establish a new manufacturing facility in Raichur, Karnataka, dedicated to regional rice varieties such as Sona Masoori and Kolam. The company will invest ₹6 crore in the project, funded entirely through internal accruals.

The move aims to strengthen LT Foods’ value chain for South India’s preferred rice varieties and tap into the rapidly formalising regional rice market.

The new facility is expected to have an initial production capacity of 30,000 metric tonnes per annum, with commercial production targeted to begin around February, subject to statutory and regulatory approvals.
