Larsen & Toubro (L&T) today announced that its Buildings & Factories (B&F) vertical has bagged significant new orders from various state and central government undertakings across India. The company classifies these contracts as 'large', which typically indicates an order value between ₹2,500 crore and ₹5,000 crore.
Among the key wins is a contract from the Central Public Works Department (CPWD) for the construction of Common Central Secretariat buildings 6 and 7 in New Delhi. This project involves the construction of two buildings, each featuring a basement, two podiums, an upper ground level, and six floors. L&T's extensive scope of work for this project includes the civil structure, finishes, associated mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) services, external development, and a five-year period for operation and maintenance.
In another notable achievement, the B&F vertical has also secured a design and construction order from the Government of Andhra Pradesh for the development of the new State Legislative Assembly building. This structure is planned to have one basement, a ground floor, and three upper floors.
L&T stated that both of these prestigious projects are slated for execution within a stringent timeline of 18 months.
Larsen & Toubro is a prominent Indian multinational conglomerate with diverse interests in EPC projects, hi-tech manufacturing, and services. The announcement of these large government orders comes on the heels of the company reporting a consolidated profit after tax of ₹5,497 crore in the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2025, a 25% increase year-on-year. The consolidated revenue for the same quarter also saw an 11% rise, reaching ₹74,392 crore.
