Ludhiana Highway Projects Worth ₹1,904 Crore: Punjab Minister Pushes for Faster Execution.

Sanjeev Arora has directed officials to accelerate progress on key infrastructure works under the National Highways Authority of India in Ludhiana, issuing strict instructions during a high-level review meeting held recently.

The minister emphasized the need to fast-track critical highway projects and resolve bottlenecks affecting execution timelines. He instructed the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Raikot)-cum-Competent Authority for Land Acquisition to immediately hand over possession of land acquired for the Ludhiana–Bathinda–Raikot highway to the NHAI.

Arora also ordered the prompt release of all pending compensation dues to landowners linked to the project, stating that delays in payments were contributing to slow project implementation.

The review meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Jain, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (General), SDM Raikot, the District Revenue Officer, and the Project Director of NHAI, along with other senior officials. The discussions focused on removing administrative hurdles and ensuring timely completion of ongoing highway works in the region.
