Manaksia Coated Metals & Industries Limited (NSE: MANAKCOAT, BSE: 539046), a leading manufacturer and exporter of coated steel specializing in galvanised and pre-painted steel, has successfully completed a technology upgrade and capacity expansion of its Continuous Galvanising Line (CGL).

The upgrade involved transitioning from conventional galvanised steel to Aluminium-Zinc (Alu-Zinc) coated steel, executed through a planned shutdown. With the completion of the project, the installed capacity of the CGL has increased from 132,000 MTPA to 180,000 MTPA, enhancing the company’s ability to meet growing demand for Alu-Zinc coated steel—a segment with strong market acceptance and premium pricing opportunities.

The upgraded line is designed to deliver higher productivity, improved energy efficiency, optimized coating costs per metric tonne, and superior corrosion resistance. The company said the enhancement supports its strategic focus on higher-value products, operational efficiency, and long-term EBITDA growth, while strengthening scalability for domestic and export markets.
