Maruti Suzuki Opens Kharkhoda Plant with 2.5 Lakh Annual Production Capacity.

Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) has commenced commercial production at its new Kharkhoda facility in Haryana, the company announced recently.

The plant will initially have an annual production capacity of 2.5 lakh units, with the compact SUV Brezza being the first model to roll out from the facility. With this addition, MSIL—along with its subsidiary Suzuki Motor Gujarat—now has a total annual production capacity of 26 lakh units.

Maruti Suzuki is investing ₹18,000 crore in the Kharkhoda plant, which will eventually have a total installed capacity of 10 lakh units per year. Announced in 2022, the facility becomes the company's fourth production site, following Gurugram, Manesar (Haryana), and Mehsana (Gujarat).

Looking ahead, the company aims to achieve a total production capacity of 40 lakh units annually across its four plants by FY 2031.
