Maruti Targets EV Leadership with Plan for 1 Lakh Charging Points, Multiple New Models in Pipeline.
Maruti Suzuki India recently announced an ambitious push into electric mobility, outlining plans to launch multiple EV models across body styles while simultaneously building a nationwide charging network.
The company, which is preparing to roll out its first electric model - the e-Vitara - next year, said it aims to install nearly 1 lakh charging stations across the country by 2030. The infrastructure expansion will be undertaken in partnership with dealer networks and charging point operators, the automaker said.
