Meka Dredging-Amma Lines bags CSL dredging deal

Kochi: Meka Dredging – Amma Lines Joint Venture (JV) has bagged the dredging contract at Cochin Shipyard Ltd (CSL), Kochi from 2009 to 2012.

The dredging covers maintaining of depths at CSL’s quayside under the three year contract period. The shipyard, is currently building India’s indigenous aircraft carrier.

The firm will initially deploy trailer suction dredger Meka–1 for dredging large amounts and later on, deploy smaller equipments to undertake the dredging process.

Presently, Meka Dredging is undertaking large scale reclamation projects at Karaikal Port.
