Metro viaduct work over Begumpet flyover to begin soon.

Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMR) officials recently have decided to commence works to cross the Begumpet flyover at Greenlands junction after removing all the obstructions near the railway station.

The launch of girders for making up the metro viaduct will begin from the Begumpet railway station onwards towards Greenlands near the Country Club.

Foundation and pillar works in front of White House, Mebaz building, Wakf property in the vicinity too will be expedited by the L&T Metro Rail Hyderabad (L&TMRH) engineers.

The pending affected portions of the Rehmat complex at Ameerpet Junction will be demolished to facilitate progress of viaduct works towards Ameerpet Junction, informed HMR MD N.V.S. Reddy following an inspection of the work sites accompanied by L&TMRH officials including incoming CEO & MD Shivanand Nimbargi, PD M.P. Naidu and others.

Considering that the Ameerpet interchange station construction has become pretty complex, a revised scheme will be prepared within a week together with a traffic management plan to ensure the work is completed on time. Demolition of properties, removal of encroachments and unauthorised constructions, relocation of power utility equipment, are to be completed at Yousufguda, Krishnanagar, J.Hills Check Post, Madhapur, etc.,before the monsoon and do road repairs.

Mr. Reddy has urged owners of Transstroy building to vacate by next week since demolition was slated from June 1st. He also sought cooperation of affected property owners in Madhuranagar, Krishnanagar and Jubilee Hills Road No.5 for doing speedy work on the viaduct and also stations as they had already given consent. The entire Corridor Three – Nagole to Shilparamsam-Raidurg should be done by early next year, he said, wanted fresh road carpeting from Nagole to Durgam Cheruvu.
