Micromax Enters Renewable Energy Sector.

Homegrown consumer electronics brand Micromax Informatics has announced its entry into the renewable energy sector with the launch of Startup Energy, marking a significant diversification for the company.

According to a company statement, Startup Energy aims to transform solar panel manufacturing in India, accelerating the country’s transition to sustainable energy and supporting its ambitious clean energy mission.

The company will focus on high-efficiency solar panels for residential, commercial, and industrial use, providing affordable and scalable solar solutions nationwide.

“Our goal is to make clean energy more accessible, reliable, and cost-effective, ensuring that individuals and businesses alike can benefit from sustainable power solutions,” said Rajesh Agarwal, Managing Director, Micromax Informatics.

As part of this initiative, Micromax has signed a strategic contract with China-based Jinchen to develop a 5GW advanced solar module manufacturing line in multiple phases. The facility will integrate automation and high-efficiency module production technologies to enhance solar panel quality and efficiency.

Additionally, Startup Energy plans to establish a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility and explore strategic R&D partnerships to develop next-generation solar technologies, boosting energy efficiency and long-term sustainability.
