Minister to focus on IPI project in Tehran

New Delhi: Indian External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee will focus on Iran-Pakistan-India (IPI) gas Pipeline Project during his forthcoming visit to Tehran. He will travel to Tehran to attend the Ministerial Conference of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) which is being held in Tehran from July 29 to 30.

Besides attending the conference, he is also expected to have a number of meetings with his counterparts on the sidelines of the Conference.

The officials said the pipeline project would be the main item on the agenda during talks with his Iranian interlocutors. He is expected to hold meetings with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki and Petroleum Minister Gholamhossein Nozari.
