MRPL inks pact for greenbelt.

Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd. (MRPL) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Dr Shivarama Karantha Pilikula Nisarga Dhama Society in Mangaluru to take up second stage greenbelt development on 30 acres of land in Pilikula Biological Park.

A press release by MRPL said here on Thursday that MRPL shall be funding the project. As per the MoU, Pilikula Nisarga Dhama shall develop 30 acres with different Western Ghat based species and maintain the same for a period of three years.

M Vinaykumar, Group General Manager of MRPL, and V Prasanna, Executive Director of Dr Shivarama Karantha Pilikula Nisarga Dhama Society, signed the MoU recently.
