The National Aluminium Company (NALCO) is set to invest ₹30,000 crore over the next five years to construct a new smelter and a coal power plant.
NALCO's Chairman and Managing Director, Brijendra Pratap Singh, said recently that the state-run company will allocate around ₹18,000 crore to build the smelter in Odisha.
Singh noted that the project will be financed through a combination of debt and the company's own funds.
