Navi Mumbai Airport to Make Mumbai Asia’s Largest Connectivity Hub: PM Modi.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently inaugurated the Navi Mumbai International Airport, highlighting its pivotal role in transforming the Mumbai Metropolitan Region into Asia’s largest connectivity hub.

Describing the project as a "glimpse of developed India," Modi emphasized the airport’s potential to strengthen global trade links by enabling Maharashtra’s farmers and fishers to export produce such as fruits and seafood to markets in Europe and West Asia.

The opening of Navi Mumbai airport marks the end of a decade-long wait for a second airport in India’s financial capital, bringing Mumbai in line with global cities like London and New York, which operate multiple international airports to meet rising air traffic demands.
