Next-Gen Satellite from GalaxEye to Boost ISR Capabilities for Critical Sectors.
GalaxEye, a leading space-tech startup renowned for its SyncFusion SAR-Optical imaging satellite technology, has announced the development of its second satellite. This new spacecraft is engineered to deliver a remarkable resolution of nearly 0.5 meters, promising a significant leap in the detail and quality of insights, particularly for defense applications and other critical sectors.
Beyond enhanced spatial resolution, the upcoming satellite will dramatically reduce revisit time to under three days. This improvement is set to bolster the responsiveness and overall utility of GalaxEye's constellation, providing more timely and frequent data for various monitoring and analytical needs.
This development follows closely on the heels of the company's inaugural satellite, Mission Drishti, which is slated for launch later this year. Mission Drishti offers a resolution of 1.25 meters and leverages GalaxEye's proprietary technology stack. This includes a robust sensor system and a sophisticated data processing pipeline, both extensively tested through over 500 drone flights and validated in spaceflight missions, such as the POEM payload.
