NHA to open Bailey Bridge today

Gilgit: National Highway Authority (NHA) will open newly constructed Gilgit Bailey Bridge to traffic today.

A senior NHA official said that 150 metre long bridge was constructed before the expiry of deadline. He said the bridge was constructed to restore normal flow of traffic between China and Pakistan.

He said a Chinese company was hired to build the bridge. The official said that Northern Areas Chief Secretary Babar Yaqoob Fateh Muhammad was likely to open the bridge.
