NHPC Ltd Marks Milestone with Commissioning of Subansiri Lower Project Unit 1.

NHPC Ltd has declared the Commercial Operation Date (CoD) of Unit 1 (250 MW) of the 2,000 MW Subansiri Lower Hydroelectric Project, effective from 00:00 hours on March 20, 2026.

With this milestone, the CoD of three units—Unit 1, Unit 2, and Unit 3—has now been declared. The company said the CoD for the remaining units will be announced in due course, as the project continues to progress toward full capacity across Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.
