NLC India Bags 450 MW Hybrid Renewable Project from NTPC.
State-run NLC India has received a Letter of Award from NTPC Limited for the development of a 450 MW wind-solar hybrid power project. This significant win marks a key step in NLC India's renewable energy expansion.
Under the terms of the contract, NLC India will establish an ISTS (Inter-State Transmission System) connected power project and commit to supplying the generated hybrid power to NTPC Limited for a period of 25 years under a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA).
The project will be strategically located across two sites: 300 MW in Bikaner, Rajasthan, and 150 MW in Bhuj, Gujarat. According to NLC India's exchange filing, the Scheduled Commencement of Supply Date (SCSD) for the full project capacity is set within 24 months from the date of the PPA. This timeline underscores the accelerated push towards integrating more renewable energy into the national grid.
