NLC India Renewables Secures Power Purchase Agreement for Massive 810 MW Solar Project.
NLC India Renewables (NIRL), the renewable energy arm of NLC India (NLCIL), has reached a significant milestone in its green energy journey by signing a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam (RVUNL) for its ambitious 810 megawatt (MW) solar power project.
This flagship venture is strategically located at the Pugal Solar Park in the Bikaner district of Rajasthan. The project's acquisition underscores NLCIL's growing presence and commitment to becoming a key player in the rapidly expanding renewable energy sector.
NLC India highlighted that this substantial solar power project was secured through a competitive tariff-based bidding process conducted by RVUNL. Furthermore, the project's implementation aligns with the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy’s (MNRE) Ultra Mega Renewable Energy Power Park (UMREPP) Scheme – Mode B, demonstrating its adherence to national renewable energy objectives. This PPA marks a crucial step forward for NIRL and contributes significantly to India's renewable energy capacity.
