NLC India Secures Critical Mineral Block in Telangana.

State-owned NLC India Ltd recently announced that it has secured a critical mineral block in Telangana after emerging as the preferred bidder in an auction conducted by the Ministry of Mines.

In a regulatory filing, the company said it had been declared the preferred bidder in the critical and strategic mineral block auctions conducted by the ministry.

NLC India was selected as the preferred bidder for the Parvathapur vanadium, titanium and aluminous laterite block located in Sangareddy district of Telangana. The block was awarded following the critical and strategic mineral block auction held on June 11.

The acquisition marks a significant step in the company's efforts to expand its presence in the critical minerals sector, which is considered vital for India's energy transition and industrial growth.
