NMDC Group PJSC Signs ₹21,000 Crore MoU for Vadhvan Port Development.
UAE-based NMDC Group PJSC (formerly National Marine Dredging Company PJSC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA), proposing an investment of ₹21,000 crore for offshore land development at Vadhvan Port in Maharashtra. The project will involve dredging, reclamation, and shore protection.
Unmesh Sharad Wagh, IRS, Chairman of JNPA, emphasized the MoU’s significance, stating, “This agreement is a major step in transforming Vadhvan Port into a world-class maritime hub. By collaborating with NMDC Group PJSC, we are bringing global expertise to one of India’s most ambitious port projects, ensuring strategic and sustainable development. With progress ahead of schedule, we remain committed to accelerating infrastructure growth and enhancing India's port capabilities to meet future trade demands.”
The MoU was officially exchanged between representatives of JNPA and the Abu Dhabi-headquartered NMDC Group PJSC, marking a critical milestone in advancing India’s port infrastructure.
