NTPC Boosts Power Output with 660 MW Unit Commissioning at North Karanpura.

NTPC Limited has successfully completed the trial operation and officially included Unit-3, a 660 MW capacity unit of its North Karanpura Super Thermal Power Project (3 x 660 MW), into its installed capacity. This achievement follows the successful completion of all approved norms and necessary regulatory approvals.

The commissioning of this unit significantly boosts NTPC's generation capabilities. With this addition, the total installed capacity of NTPC on a standalone basis now stands at 60,266 MW, while the group's total installed capacity has reached 81,368 MW. This expansion underscores NTPC's continuous efforts to meet India's growing energy demands and strengthen the nation's power infrastructure.
