"NTPC Green Energy Ltd Completes Commissioning of 70 MW in 150 MW Chhattisgarh Solar PV Project"

NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL), a subsidiary of NTPC Limited, has announced the successful commissioning of the first phase of its Chhattisgarh Solar PV Project in Bikaner, Rajasthan. The initial capacity of 70 MW out of a total of 150 MW has been declared operational as of February 21, 2024.

This milestone marks a significant step forward for NTPC's renewable energy endeavors, facilitated through its subsidiary, NTPC Green Energy Limited. The completion of this phase brings the installed and commercial capacity of the NTPC Group to 73,958 MW.

The Chhattisgarh Solar PV Project represents NTPC's commitment to expanding its renewable energy portfolio and contributing to India's sustainable energy transition. With further approvals in place, the company aims to continue progressing towards the completion of the remaining capacity, further bolstering its presence in the renewable energy sector.
