NTPC Releases Rs. 375 Cr to APIIC for New Plant.

National Thermal Power Corporation, Atchutapuram, has released a payment of Rs. 375 crore to the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) for 700 acres of land, which was already earmarked for NTPC's upcoming thermal power project with an installed capacity of 4,000 MW (4x1000) at Atchutapuram and Rambilli mandals in the district. An amount of Rs. 50 crores has already been released as advance in the first week of March to APIIC towards the land lease cost.

Group general manager of NTPC, Atchutapuram, PS Radhakrishnan has informed that the project is a fast track project and his team was fully exploring every possible opportunity for grounding the construction activities at the earliest. On the occasion, the GGM has said that the management was also committed to executing the community development programmes promised to the locals.
