NTPC-SAIL Power Completes 5 MW Solar Power Project with Final Module Commissioning.

NTPC-SAIL Power Company Limited (NSPCL) has commissioned the third and final module of its 5 MW (2 x 2.5 MW) floating solar power station at Bhilai, marking the completion of the entire 15 MW project.

NSPCL, a joint venture company of NTPC Ltd, informed that the final module, identified as Island-2, was successfully commissioned on June 24, 2026. Following the commissioning, the complete 15 MW floating solar power station has been declared under commercial operation from the same date.

The project adds to NTPC Group’s renewable energy portfolio as the company continues to expand its clean energy capacity.

With the commissioning of the floating solar project, NTPC Group’s total installed capacity has increased to 90,904 MW, while its commercial capacity stands at 89,824 MW.
