Odisha paves way for Posco to prospect in Khandadhar.

Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik has cleared the way for Posco to prospect the Khandadhar region, which has an estimated iron-ore reserve of 200 million tonnes, days after the central government removed a major hurdle faced by the South Korean major.

Confirming the development, officials from Patnaik's office and the state's mining department said the state would soon be resending its recommendation for the prospecting lease to the central government. The approvals come ahead of South Korean president Park Geun-hye's visit to India.
