Ola Electric to Infuse ₹2,000 Crore into EV, Battery Cell Businesses
Ola Electric Mobility has announced a ₹2,000 crore investment in its wholly owned subsidiaries, Ola Electric Technologies and Ola Cell Technologies, as part of plans to expand operations and strengthen its electric vehicle ecosystem.
The Bengaluru-based two-wheeler maker said ₹500 crore will be invested in Ola Cell Technologies to support battery cell manufacturing and distribution activities. The remaining ₹1,500 crore will be infused into Ola Electric Technologies, which oversees electric vehicle manufacturing and related services across the EV value chain.
The investment is aimed at scaling the company’s EV and battery capabilities as it continues to expand its presence in India’s fast-growing electric mobility market.
