Oman to boost economic ties with Pakistan
Karachi: Consul General of the Sultanate of Oman Khamis bin Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Farsi has said his country is keen to further enhance its economic ties with Pakistan. He said this while hosting a reception to mark the country's 38th national day. Acting Governor of Sindh Shehla Raza was the chief guest on the occasion.
The CG pointed out that during the last three decades, the Omani government concentrated on enhanced business and economic relations regionally and internationally for development of political socio-economic relations, in conformity with the development of international competition of the open market.
The Consul General also expressed the desire of further enhancing his country's economic co-operation with Pakistan, and further pointed out that 'we give preference to the strategic economic relations.' The CG said, 'the relations of our two countries are deeply rooted and fully resonate with each other on regional and international point of views.'
He pointed out that a good number of Omani nationals lived in Pakistan and an equal number of Pakistanis reside in Oman, adding those factors encouraged more investments in different fields.
