ONGC Commences Gas Monetisation from Daman Upside Development Project.

State-run Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) recently announced the commencement of gas monetisation from its Daman Upside Development Project (DUDP) in the Arabian Sea, marking a significant milestone in its offshore operations.

In a filing to the BSE, ONGC said the project, located around 180 km northwest of Mumbai and about 80 km south of Pipavav in Gujarat, achieved the milestone on March 29, 2026, with gas flowing from the B-12-24P platform. The project involves a capital expenditure of $1 billion.

The company said the platform has been successfully commissioned and gas is being transported to its Hazira plant. ONGC added that the project was executed in less than two years from the date of award, highlighting strong project execution, innovative use of the drill-deck, and robust performance by its drilling and production teams.
