Otis India Doubles New Equipment Orders in Three Years, Expands Bengaluru Facility by 20%.

Otis India, the Indian arm of elevator and escalator maker Otis Worldwide, has doubled its new equipment orders over the past three years, reflecting the country’s emergence as one of the company’s fastest-growing markets.

Sebi Joseph, President of Otis India, told BusinessLine that India is now one of only two global escalator manufacturing hubs for Otis, alongside China. In the first quarter of 2025, the Asia Pacific region saw over 20% growth in orders, largely driven by India and Southeast Asia.

“Over the past three years, we have doubled our new corporate orders and delivered double-digit growth in both top and bottom lines year after year,” Joseph said, noting that Otis has steadily expanded its market share over the past eight to nine years.

The company has also expanded its Bengaluru facility by 20% to meet rising demand and strengthen its manufacturing capabilities.
